    Estate Planning Coordination

We don't draft your estate plan. We make sure it actually works.

Drafting wills and trusts is a legal job, your estate planning attorney handles that. But making sure the documents you signed actually reflect your accounts, your beneficiaries, your family situation, and your tax planning is our job.

Most estate plans we look at have at least one of these problems

    • A trust that was funded only halfway.
    • Beneficiary designations on a 401(k) or IRA that override the will and weren't updated after a remarriage.
    • A power of attorney that's 20 years old.
    • A second-marriage situation with no clear plan for the children from the first marriage.
    • A successor trustee or executor who has since moved, retired, or passed away.

    How we help

    • Annual estate review, every account, every beneficiary, every titling decision, every document.
    • Attorney coordination, we work with your existing estate attorney (or refer you to one in Toledo).
    • Trust funding, once a trust is signed, accounts have to be retitled into it. We handle that paperwork.
    • Beneficiary alignment.
    • Family conversations, when you're ready, we'll sit at the kitchen table with you and the next generation.

    Frequently asked questions

    • Most families need both. A will handles probate-eligible assets and names guardians for minor children. A revocable living trust avoids probate and provides for incapacity. The right structure depends on your assets, your state, and your family situation.
