    Our Fees

    Clear fees. No surprises.

If you're sitting on an account at a brokerage or insurance company and you're starting to ask, "how is my advisor actually paid?" you're asking the right question.

    How our fees work

We are a fee-based, fiduciary advisory firm. We are paid an annual fee calculated as a percentage of the assets we manage for you. The fee is disclosed in writing before you become a client. We don't earn commissions on your investments, transaction fees on trades, or kickbacks from product providers. If we ever recommend a product, such as life insurance, where a commission applies, we'll tell you upfront, every time.

    What's included

    • Full financial planning (retirement income, Social Security, tax, estate, insurance review, charitable giving).
    • Coordination with your CPA, attorney, and other professionals.
    • Ongoing investment management.
    • Annual reviews, plus availability between reviews when life happens.
    • Client portal, custodian (Charles Schwab) reporting, and Schwab Alliance integration.

    Why this matters

We are committed to fee transparency and acting as financial fiduciaries, meaning that we have a legal obligation to put your financial needs before ours. To best serve our clients, we also occasionally provide products that have a commission. In these cases, commissionable products, like life insurance, are an important piece to a comprehensive plan. In all cases, we disclose fees and commissions.

    Frequently asked questions

    • For a planning-and-investment-management relationship, fees in the U.S. typically range from about 0.5% to 1.5% of assets per year. MPM's fee schedule is at the lower end of that range and tiers down as assets grow. Specific fees are quoted in writing during your discovery process.
